Artist's Description

A view of the valley below from Chemung Mine; tucked away in the vast landscape that is the Sierra Nevadas. Once sporting a productive gold mine, like many others, this was abandoned once the vein ran dry. I love the symbolism of the golden aspens running in a line through the photo. They in turn are their own gold vein running through the mountains.

About Ryan Huebel

Ryan Huebel

I am currently based in San Diego, California. Photography was my college major and my passion. Everywhere I walk I am constantly looking for a potential photograph. However, since I have worked behind the scenes in the production side of the world for several years I am currently burnt out on the portrait side of things. I love the outdoors and the beauty of the natural world. Whenever it is feasibly possible, I am out in the world exploring areas away from society; whether its abandoned locations or the beauty of the world around us.
