This was an exercise in lighting. It reminds me of a drawing exercise with a cylinder; but more complex. Definitely more of a picture for texture and light than the flower itself.
I am currently based in San Diego, California. Photography was my college major and my passion. Everywhere I walk I am constantly looking for a potential photograph. However, since I have worked behind the scenes in the production side of the world for several years I am currently burnt out on the portrait side of things. I love the outdoors and the beauty of the natural world. Whenever it is feasibly possible, I am out in the world exploring areas away from society; whether its abandoned locations or the beauty of the world around us.
